Who can attend, and when?
USPS will hold its final supervisory virtual job fair of the year on Sunday, September 13, from 1 to 3 p.m. Eastern. Current career and noncareer employees may participate voluntarily while off the clock.
How to register
Complete the registration form through MyHR. Start from the link in the official USPS announcement. Registration is for the event; it is not an application for a particular vacancy.
What the event covers
Topics include supervisory responsibilities, career paths, finding and applying for positions, answering knowledge, skills and abilities questions, and employee development resources. USPS says interpreters and closed captioning will be available, with a recording and slides accessible afterward.
Prepare before joining
Write down two examples of your work: a coverage problem you helped solve and an improvement you helped put into practice. Record the situation, your own actions and the result. Specific examples will give you a starting point when thinking through application questions.
Make a list of questions about the responsibilities you want to understand. For any vacancy you later consider, read that posting for its eligibility requirements, location and closing date. Attending this event does not establish eligibility or guarantee selection.
